Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all in-library Adults & Family programming is on hiatus until further notice. We are hopeful that programming will be able to resume in the fall. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and subscribe to our newsletter for the most up-to-date news and information!
In the months of September through May, we have a book club that meets every second Tuesday of the month. Enjoy a discussion of the month’s book along with some light refreshments. Check out the calendar for the next event.
If you need computer help, sign up for a 1-on-1 lesson with our Technology Coordinator, Monica. These sessions are offered every Friday. If you would like more information, contact Monica by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Friends of the Library
If you love the library, consider joining the Friends of the Library! Membership is free and even comes with a few perks! For example, you’ll receive a 10% discount at the annual book sale, which the FOL puts on each year. To learn more about the Friends of the Library and how you can become a member, stop by the circulation desk!
Literary March Madness
In this program, your favorite literary characters go head-to-head and you get to decide the winner! First, you grab a bracket and fill out your winners. Once all brackets have been collected, we tally up the most selected characters to determine the Round 1 winners. From there, voting will be open each week (online or at the library) so you can vote to keep your favorites in the game! The patron with the most accurate bracket will win a Kindle Fire! Literary March Madness is open to adult patrons and patrons in grades 6-12. One winner from each age group will be selected.
Blind Date with a Book
In this exciting February program, we gather a diverse collection of books from our shelves and wrap them in plain brown paper. Check one out and discover an author you’ve never tried, or a book you never thought you’d read. Who knows? Maybe you’ll fall in love! Simply write a short review of the book and turn it in for a chance to win the grand prize!
12 Weeks of Reading
If reading for Christmas gifts sounds too good to be true, we have just the program for you! During 12 Weeks of Reading, patrons read books and complete small review sheets to be entered into weekly drawings. Each week one lucky patron will win a $25.00 store gift certificate to help buy Christmas gifts. At the end of the 12 weeks, a grand prize gift certificate of $100.00 will be awarded! Begins 12 weeks before Christmas. Open to adult (18+) and young adult (13+) patrons.
Summer Reading Program
We have a Summer Reading program for every age group! Toddlers, kids, teens, and adults can all participate in this fun summer program in which you read to win prizes. There are weekly prizes as well as a grand prize for each age group at the end of the program. During the Summer Reading Program, we also offer free children’s entertainment each Wednesday afternoon! Our performers have included magicians, singers, wildlife experts, and many more!
Every month the library hosts a bingo night. Themes vary month-to-month and so do the prizes! This program is open to all ages. Check out the calendar for the next theme. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up by phone or in person quickly!
We love celebrating the holidays with our patrons! We offer all day trick-or-treating on or around Halloween. Santa visits us at Christmastime, and even the Easter Bunny leaves eggs all around the library for children to find! Check the calendar to see any upcoming special holiday programming!
Each week we have two story times. Tiny Tots is designed for children ages birth to 36 months, and is held on Wednesdays at 10:30 am. Bookworms is designed for pre-K children, ages 3-5, and is held on Thursdays at 11:00 am. For more information, check the calendar or contact us.
