What is Outreach?
Outreach Services is a free service to patrons of all ages who cannot get to the library building. The elderly, residents of a facility, the homebound and people with disabilities living in the Mount Pleasant Township taxing district, are eligible for this service. Individuals who are disabled and confined to their homes, even on a temporary basis, may request home delivery of materials.
How Can I Start Using This Service?
To initiate services, call the library at 759-9723. Once eligibility has been established, the outreach librarian will conduct an interview to determine individual needs. Materials will be delivered and picked up on a monthly basis. This schedule can be modified when needed. Materials available include regular and large print books, magazines, music CDs, movies on DVD, and books on CD. CD players and headphones are also available to borrow.
How Long Can I Keep Library Materials?
Outreach patrons may keep library materials for 28 days and will not be charged fines for overdue materials, as long as library materials are made available for the librarian to pick up at scheduled visits. Outreach patrons will be responsible for replacing or paying for lost or damaged materials.
