Story Time Update: October 28, 2021
With the weather getting colder, gathering at Morrow’s Meadow for Story Time is no longer feasible. Story Time is on hiatus until it is safe to gather inside. In the meantime, we are excited to offer Take & Make craft bags!
These bags have everything you’ll need to create a themed craft with your little ones. Check out a book and grab a bag for all the Story Time fun at home!
The crafts change every week and will be available in the children’s department.
Fall Programming Update: August 17, 2021
Update to our planned fall programming
We have made the decision to cancel Teen Scene for the foreseeable future as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Delaware County.
Story Time will be held outside at Morrow’s Meadow as long as it is feasible to do so. We currently have the pavilion booked through October. Tiny Tots will take place on Wednesdays (beginning August 25) at 10:30 am. Bookworms will be at 11:00 am on Thursdays (beginning August 26). More info about these programs can be found here.
We will be encouraging mask wearing and social distancing at Story Time. We will also be doing take home crafts to limit sharing materials. These plans are fluid based on the status of the pandemic. We will keep you updated if anything changes, so be sure to check this page for news and/or follow us on social media.
Thank you for your cooperation as we navigate this together. Please let us know if you have any questions!
Mask Mandate Update: August 16, 2021
Update to mask requirements for patrons and staff
August 16, 2021
The library reinstated the mask requirement for staff members regardless of vaccination status a couple of weeks ago.
As the number of positive tests and an alarming increase in hospitalizations in Delaware County is upon us, I feel it is necessary for the safety of staff and the community to resume requiring patrons to also wear a mask while in the library regardless of their vaccination status. We will have a supply of masks at the front entry for you to use if you forget your mask.
I encourage anyone who has not yet gotten vaccinated, to get the vaccination process started today. Call 211 to find a place to get vaccinated. The vaccine is free and safe. Many sites are offering walk-in services. Getting 85% of Hoosiers vaccinated is our way out of the pandemic. Let’s do it for each other.
Thank you for your cooperation,
